ABOUT

SceneOn is a new kind of dynamic production house geared towards producing traditional media content like TVCs, and also new media content for online and mobile.

Our creative team consists of six directors who all work on the initial treatment, with one director taking the lead on each project.

With in-house editors, VFX and motion designers, and our own offline and online post facilities, we are able to provide our directors with more creative freedom to push their ideas to the next level.

SceneOn was designed to be an end to end solution. We are a creative collective that works for the agency.

Executive Producer ANDREW COYLE

I started SceneOn as answer to the new media landscape in advertising, we have built a multi skilled company that can produce creative content, by offering an end to end solution.

Over the past years of dealing with budgets, that were getting increasingly smaller, I was getting frustrated as a director, because I could see the production values going down.

So I decided to build a company that offered post production facilities as part of the production house package.

As a result our creative juices are flowing, we are achieving more than most agencies think possible. And we are loving the environment we’ve created.

Melbourne Producer TREVOR HOLCOMB

Trevor is as tall as Stephen Merchant, but thankfully doesn't need to be in front of the camera. His personality has been likened to Morgan Freeman's character in Shawshank Redemption, but only in his willingness to accept bribes.

Having said that, he is a great producer, who knows where every cent goes, but is always in sync with his brother Matt. They are the Holcomb Brothers.

Trevor has produced all their work and is currently producing their first feature. He has many stories about Chopper Read.

Sydney Producer ANNIE KINNANE

Annie is our presence in the Sydney market, its important we can service the Sydney agencies with a face they know.

She has done every type of production you can imagine, from music clips, virals to TVCs with companies like Jungleboys and Flying Fish. Importantly for us, she understands and has embraced new media and loves SceneOn’s end to end approach

Her thorough approach to all things production is always reassuring and her smile always put you at ease.

Asia Producer BRITTANY TRAN

Brittany kicked off her career in Texas, so she knows what BIG productions are all about. Over the past four years she has been producing work in Asia, for some of the biggest directors in the world.

Asia has its own unique way of doing productions and Brittany was the perfect choice for SceneOn to build our reputation. No matter how hectic or long the shooting days are in Asia, Brittany always maintains the reins.

The agencies love her in Asia, and so do we.

Production Manager STACEY KWIJAS

Stacey is the winner of numerous employee of the month prizes, almost entirely attributed to her habit of bringing her baking into the office. She was the first official employee of SceneOn, with a background in marketing and producing. Her recent short film BINO was selected for the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival. She also enjoys a good excel spreadsheet, checking items off her to-do list and the occasional use of sarcasm, making her position as the resident Production Manager ideal.

Her favourite Steve's include Fry, Colbert, Buscemi and McQueen.

Marketing Manager JESSIE FRENCH

Jessie has a marketing background working with creative people at the top of their field over a variety of industries. Previous to this position, French was on board the in-house marketing team for director Amiel Courtin-Wilson’s newest feature, Hail - the only Australian film selected for this year’s 68th Venice International Film Festival, and the first in almost 10 years.

In the past, Jessie worked with British designer, Kim Jones - currently director of menswear at Louis Vuitton; and innovative Melbourne events and creative workspace, Goodtime Studios.

Financial Controller JENNY BRENNAN

Numbers numbers numbers, Jenny sees them in her sleep. She comes from a background working in the advertising and fashion industry, so she appreciates creatively what we are trying to achieve.

For us Jenny’s greatest asset is that she understands what we are building and is always finding the most economical route for us to get there.

She is not your normal Financial Controller.

Editor PATRICK O'FARRELL

A Media Arts degree solidified Patrick's desire to become an editor. A natural storyteller, his style reflects his love of the world game, hardcore punk and a failed indoor soccer career. Ambitious and passionate, Post Man Pat will always deliver...

VFX/Motion Designer ANDREW GOLDSMITH

Andrew Goldsmith never sleeps. He recharges every night via USB.

Being part human and part computer allows for a wide spectrum of visual styles, ranging from tactile, organic animations to vividly detailed VFX. His tireless, machine-like efforts have led to a prodigious output of music videos, TVCs and award-winning short films, and scored him such roles as the Visual Effects director of Gotye's upcoming music video.

Despite Andrew's technological wizardry, he manages to maintain a distinctly human degree of ingenuity and finesse.

Director ANDREW COYLE

Coyle began his career as a trained actor but earned his money as a singing telegram performer. A pink tutu or gorilla suit was common attire. Life was good. But he yearned for more.

A long stint at film school created a director with a unique background. His first love has naturally been performance, but over the past couple of years he has generated a distinctively intimate cinematic style.

Director MATT CHUANG

Matthew has been hit by a car three times. Not once has there been a broken bone in his body. Maybe it's from watching all those Jackie Chan films and visualizing action sequences as a kid.

Matthew's short film 'Last Roll Of The Dice' won 3rd Prize at Tropfest 2010. His music videos continue to gain attention with The Daily Telegraph describing the 'Solid Rock' clip as 'powerful' and 'guaranteed to provoke reaction'. Matthew's work has earned him a few ACS cinematography awards.

Matthew continues to find imaginative ways to create striking imagery alongside engaging stories with the goal to one day blow things up on camera.

Director HOLCOMB BROTHERS

A Director/ Editor - and brother - team, Matt and Trev made short films and backyard 'COPS' episodes in their teens while juggling the shared dream of playing NBA basketball.

Slow-twitch fibre muscles made the NBA dream a hard one to put stock in, leaving the brothers to focus solely on filmmaking.

After diverging film school experiences, Matt and Trev re-teamed in the early 00's with their complimentary skill sets. Since then, the brothers Holcomb have produced various music videos, documentaries, award-winning short films and TVCs.

Matt and Trev have never given up their dream of playing in the NBA, but both concede that a change of career is unlikely at this point.

Director TOBIAS ANDERSSON

Tobias grew up in the far north of Sweden, just below the Arctic Circle. And yes, he is blond. Long, dark winters meant a lot of time indoors watching movies, and the beginning of his love for film.

Tobias' beautiful short film 'Pop' has been traveling the world on the international film festival circuit, starting in Sydney as a Dendy Awards finalist and then onto Hamburg, New York and Palm Springs to name a few. 'Pop' was also chosen as the opening film for the St Kilda Film Festival in 2011.

Tobias unites a love of story with his innovative use of technology, creating a captivating balance between the visuals, performance and tone.

Director MAT GOVONI

Mat has an unusual looking head.

Kind of a cross between Paul McCartney and Ben Elton. Thank God he's not in front of the camera.

Luckily, his work behind the camera has screened or been short-listed at festivals such as the Los Angeles International Comedy Film Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival and Tropfest. With a background in broadcasting, visual effects and cinematography, it is no wonder that Mat's direction and visual style is as distinctive as his face, but infinitely more attractive.
